About Us

Established by Vicki Luckhurst 30 years ago, Directors has become one of the most trusted and credible hair and beauty salons in Kent.

Vicki first started her career in 1980 after launching her first beauty business. Her vision and passion evolved into hair design, after acquiring The Hair Do, Penenden Heath in 1990.  After a move to Bearsted the business reinvented itself and Directors was born, a credible title to encapsulate the knowledge, experience and passion of its creator and team. 

Directors has 8 team members all waiting to advise, guide and create your ultimate hair and beauty experience. Our pricing structure reflects their experience, qualifications and talent. Our stylists regularly train in London and are always up to date with new techniques and styles. 

We provide a full range of salon services catering for both men and women, including blow-drying, cutting, hair-up and all aspects of colouring. We also offer nail services to complete the hair and beauty experience.

    I am the Salon owner here at Directors. I have 46 years experience in both Hair and Beauty Therapy. I am as passionate today as when I first came into this industry and when Directors was first established. Here at Directors we aim to provide a professional and comfortable environment, offering the very best service that we can possibly provide. We are so lucky to have an amazing group of stylists that are both conscientious and loyal.

    Hi, I’m Ashley! For the past 10 years, I’ve been proud to be the Salon Manager and Creative Consultant at Directors—a role I genuinely love. With over 18 years in the hair industry, I specialise in corrective colour and hair extensions, and nothing excites me more than taking on a transformation that others might shy away from. The more intricate and challenging, the better!

    I’m passionate about continually pushing my creativity, which has led to become one of the 6 Creative Artists for Revlon Professional, whilst also developing my editorial passion and finlalising for the biggest competitions in the industry.. having my work featured in HJ, Pro Hair Magazine, and Estetica. As a qualified educator, I also love sharing my knowledge, teaching colour and hair extension courses to help inspire the next generation of stylists.

    Above all, my favourite part of what I do is making every guest feel confident, empowered, and completely looked after. I truly believe that “Glamour is a state of mind,” and the right hair has the power to transform not just how you look, but how you feel.

    Hi, I'm Kazz, a Creative Designer at Directors. I've been part of the team for the past 18 months and have over 30 years of experience in the hairdressing industry. Fully qualified to Level 3, I'm passionate about every aspect of hairdressing and love helping my clients look and feel their best.

    My true passion lies in working with long hair and creating beautiful hair-up styles. I especially love bridal styling and being part of someone's wedding day. It's a privilege to help bring a bride's vision to life, and seeing every detail come together is incredibly rewarding. Being trusted with such an important part of someone's special day is an honour, and I take great pride in creating timeless, elegant styles that help my clients feel confident, beautiful, and truly themselves.

    My name is Chloe I’m a junior stylist and a 3rd year apprentice studying my level 3 to learn advanced colouring, corrections and new cutting techniques. I am also qualified in extensions. I have been with Directors for an over a month now and have 1 year experience. I’m a passionate hairstylist dedicated to making my clients look a feel their absolute best and ensuring every appointment is tailored to your individual style and lifestyle. My goal is to ensure you leave the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and in love with your hair. ✨

    My name is Emma, I have been working as an apprentice at Directors Hair and Beauty studio since July 2025. I am currently working to complete my Level 2 diploma for hair at Kleek academy. I am qualified in hair extensions and I am keen to take more courses and gain more knowledge in the industry. I am very passionate about colour work and transformations with extensions and I am excited to build my portfolio for when I qualify whilst working at Directors!
